At Revive Then Thrive, we offer thoughtfully designed training, consulting, and clinical supervision grounded in emotional and relational health. Our work supports individuals, families, clinicians, and organizations in deepening understanding of anxiety, attachment, trauma, self-compassion, and nervous system regulation.

Through a relational and attachment-informed lens, we help people make sense of emotional patterns, strengthen connection, and develop practical tools for resilience—both in personal relationships and professional settings. Whether through education, consultation, or supervision, our goal is to support meaningful growth that leads to healthier relationships and sustainable well-being.

Why is relational health in the Workplace important?

Overview

Revive Then Thrive is a PMHNP psychotherapy training site offering developmentally sequenced, evidence-based supervision for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) students across the lifespan.

Our training model emphasizes emotional and relational health, trauma- and culturally informed care, ethical clinical reasoning, and the integration of psychotherapy into comprehensive psychiatric practice.

​

This site provides psychotherapy-focused field experience within an LMFT private practice and is designed to complement prescriber-led training for psychopharmacology and medical management.

Our Clinical Identity

We believe emotional and relational health are foundational to psychiatric healing. Students learn to understand symptoms not only through diagnosis, but also through:

  • attachment needs and relational patterns

  • trauma responses and nervous system regulation

  • strengths, resilience, and meaning-making

  • sociocultural context and systems of care

Training Foundations

Supervision integrates evidence-based frameworks, including:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): attachment needs, emotional cycles, secure bonding

  • Attachment Theory: secure base/safe haven, lifespan attachment strategies

  • Trauma-Informed & Culturally Informed Care: safety, empowerment, cultural humility

  • Humanistic/Experiential Therapy: empathy, presence, authenticity, meaning-making

  • Family Systems Theory: intergenerational patterns, roles, systemic context

  • Strengths-Based & Positive Psychology: resilience, hope, post-traumatic growth

  • Solution-Focused Therapy: collaborative goals, exceptions, practical change

What PMHNP Students Learn Here

PMHNP students supported at Revive Then Thrive develop psychotherapy competencies such as:

  • advanced psychotherapeutic assessment across the lifespan

  • DSM-informed diagnostic reasoning for psychotherapy formulation (in collaboration with prescribers)

  • case conceptualization using attachment, systems, and trauma-informed frameworks

  • evidence-based psychotherapy interventions (EFT-informed, systems, strengths-based, solution-focused)

  • therapeutic communication, alliance-building, rupture/repair, and reflective use of self

  • crisis-aware psychotherapy and safety planning within scope

  • culturally responsive and equity-aware clinical practice

  • interprofessional collaboration and consultation

Training Structure

Revive Then Thrive offers a structured supervision pathway aligned with PMHNP program coursework.

Students receive:

  • weekly supervision (individual and/or group, as applicable)

  • structured learning objectives and supervision agendas

  • reflective practice documentation

  • program evaluations and psychotherapy hour verification (per program policy)

  • Supervision can be telehealth-based and is designed to support modern psychiatric practice.

Telehealth Training

Revive Then Thrive is a telehealth-forward training site.

Telehealth-specific competencies include:

  • ethical virtual assessment and psychotherapy

  • privacy, informed consent, and HIPAA-compliant practice

  • crisis response and safety planning in remote care

  • cultural access, digital equity, and reducing barriers to care

Competency Alignment

Our training site is aligned with national PMHNP education standards, including:

  • NONPF PMHNP competencies

  • AACN Essentials (2021)

Programs may request the Master Supervision Handbook, which includes semester-by-semester supervision plans and competency mapping
